How I Started My First Ever Blog

It's been a little over a month since I started planning on creating a blog. I knew I wanted to write but I didn't have the time because I was so overwhelmed with work. I had so many ideas that I wanted to write about but I couldn't come up with a single topic to start with.

Then I came across this post written by a former colleague at work. He just talked about his experiences, bad and good...errrr (no good ones) and how unjust our former employer was. It was unadulterated, no more no less.

So I thought I could probably also write something about work. Besides, I had to go through the same ordeal and almost exhausted my patience and understanding and everything in between. But then I thought I just needed to do something else.

One rainy afternoon, I was stuck inside a mall and didn't have anything else to do but wait till the rain subsided. Good thing I had my laptop in my backpack. The mall offers free Wi Fi access. I had to look for a spot where the signal was strong. Went inside a fancy restaurant on the ground floor thinking that I could get a real strong signal. Guess what? The signal was as weak as hell. Had to take my order out and looked for another location. Ironically, I ended up at the basement where all budget-concious people go & dine - the Food Court.

Amazingly, the connection I got was even faster than what I have at home. (Darn it!)

The first thing I had in mind was to check my mail & open Facebook. My fingers are just so used now to typing mail.yahoo.com & facebook.com once I open my browser. There were no new emails. I signed out and started googling. I typed starting a blog and first on the list was www.startingablog.com. Hmmm, cool. This should have everything I need to start my blog, I thought. I read through the articles, everything from top to bottom and was overwhelmed by so much information and technical stuff that I needed to consider.

Again I opened google & typed blog. Voila! I got www.blogger.com.
